Positioned as it is on the edge of the Clarendon Park area of the city the Leicester Quaker meeting house, with its quiet rooms and lovely garden at the rear, has become an ideal place for many groups who use it throughout the week.
The meeting house, at the top of the (A6) London Road hill and across the Victoria Park, is about one and a half miles south of the city centre and a mile from the railway station from which buses pass at 15 minute intervals daily, hourly after 6.00pm and on Sundays.
Leicester Local Quaker Meeting is part of Leicester Area Quaker Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain.
Leicester Area Quaker Meeting is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. registered Charity Number: 1192277. Registered address: Quaker Meeting House, 16 Queens Road, Leicester LE2 1WP (also see Leicester AM page)
Children's Meetings are restarting after a break and we are hope to hold them monthly.
At present we ask that a parent accompanies their children.
All Age Worship is held occasionally, usually outside on Spring and Summer afternoons. We usually have an environmental theme.
