Welcome to Leicester Quaker Meeting

As Quakers we commit ourselves to a way of worship which allows God to teach and transform us. Over the years Quakers have found that the Spirit, if rightly followed, will lead us into truth, unity and love: we try to put this into practice in every aspect of our lives.

Silent Vigil

The Climate Justice Group will hold a silent vigil at noon on the third Thursday of each month bearing witness for those people already suffering grievously from the climate crisis and in solidarity with their calls for just reparations from the wealthy who have largely created this global catastrophe.

The next vigil will be on Thursday 16th May, 12.00- 12.30pm

Positioned as it is on the edge of the Clarendon Park area of the city the Leicester Quaker meeting house, with its quiet rooms and lovely garden at the rear, has become an ideal place for many groups who use it throughout the week.

The meeting house, at the top of the (A6) London Road hill and across the Victoria Park, is about one and a half miles south of the city centre and a mile from the railway station from which buses pass at 15 minute intervals daily, hourly after 18.50 and on Sundays.

Leicester Local Quaker Meeting is part of Leicester Area Quaker Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain.

Leicester Area Quaker Meeting is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. registered Charity Number: 1192277. Registered address: Quaker Meeting House, 16 Queens Road, Leicester LE2 1WP (also see Leicester AM page)

Other Quaker meetings in the Leicester Area Meeting are Loughborough, Rugby and Oakham
